RenalTracker ready for the next step thanks to Medilink and Boost4Health

RenalTracker is a Nijmegen based digital health startup and provides patients with the tools to track and limit their food and pairs them with a renal nurse, dietitian, or doctor to help them manage their kidney disease.

“Medilink helped produce a roadmap for our entry into the medical device sector, with a particular focus on the regulatory framework for medical devices in the EU and the US, a value proposition for the NHS and an evidence generation plan to advise on data to collect during trials to prove this value. On top of the two comprehensive reports Medilink provided, what we appreciate most is their ability to consider things from a startup's perspective – anticipating the challenges of a new player, in a field that is itself fairly new for the UK healthcare system. Medilink tailored the reports to our needs, so the advice was not only thorough, it was also relevant and actionable. There were recommendations on resources for further information on the next step in the regulatory process that were beyond the original scope of this project. The selection of the right partner for this project, which the Boost4Health program allowed us to do, helped ensure its success.”  “The Boost4Health voucher came at a critical time for our startup as it enabled us to work with a high-calibre consulting service provider on a competence we did not yet have in-house. Aside from international business development in the UK/EU/US, this project helps shape our overall company roadmaps for several key initiatives – product development, clinical validation, systems/operations improvement, etc. Through initiatives like Boost4Health, interregional collaboration and innovation can be achieved.”
